Steve Jobs introduced iCal on July 17, 2002 at the Macworld Convention. Unless it was running, its dock icon remained stuck on July 17 for most of its existence. Which meant that on only one day each year, iCal was actually in sync with the actual date. My all-time favorite software bug has since been fixed, and on iCal's 10th anniversary I'm getting a bit nostalgic about it. It's worth remembering and celebrating.
